(6,145 posts)My mom died this past Jan 3. She detested trump with every fiber in her body. It was the ONE thing you could ask her about and she'd always have plenty to say about him - clear of all filters as only one with dementia can be! (LOL) There was all this talk on the TV about the coming Inauguration, etc., and I think she just decided she wasn't going to stick around for that all over again. I had her buried next to my dad at the National Cemetery. Sis and I are headed there on Sunday. They finally got the headstones engraved and put into place, and we're anxious to see them.
96 is a great age to have made it to. Mom was 88 when she passed. Dad was 77. Grandmother was the age I am now, 69. Kinda brings it all in close to home and makes you start thinking of the future in a whole different light.
Hubs and I are going to get caught up on our Covid vax on Saturday. We pick up my meds then, and I figure we'll just have them do it while we're there... before anything trump says or does affects us... especially money-wise on vaccines.
