They figure out something that makes them unique and stand alone in an elite group of their bretheren acting together. Where they can shit trash the Dems so they can entertain and express their deep distain for the Lefties - thug and mob style.
They do it with other things too,...

** - Anything to obsessively Own the Libs.
** - Here's an oldie but goodie they pulled back when. National ReThug Campaign Convention - they wore Band-aids with purple hearts on them. So in a mob/thug group effort they could make a mockery out of John Kerry's military service, so they could derail his presidential ambitions.
** - Highjacking of religion and Christianity for their party alone.
** - Highjacking of patriotism for their party alone.
** - Highjacking Family Values for their party alone.
** - Voter suppression and disenfranchisement.
They likely picked this special shade of men's blue suit outfit to enable them to form a special political identity for their ReThug male candidates. And as someone else mentioned previously - by taking the traditional Demo color of blue and highjacking it - gives it not only special visual recognition but the added bonus that they slapped the Dems in the face by highjacking and misappropriation of their blue color for the ReThugs now.
