Massive numbers of Americans who are eligible to vote do not bother to do so. Of course, one can read into that almost anything one wants to read into that. However, if they thought voting would improve their lives and the lives of their families and neighbors, I'd like to think that more of them would show up at the polls on election days. I could be misreading it, though.
