I've always been partial to Guthries statement wrote large on his guitar and of course his This Land is Your Land begs to be the populist anthem if not the national anthem.

The civil rights movement and its theme We Shall Overcome are big populist rallying calls

I would think scenes from FDRs CCC or WPA, Hoover Damn and the TVA are iconic as are bread lines.

I read Baums Oz some years ago with an eye for the the silver/ gold controversy of 1890 populism and had a difficult time seeing the connections.
