49. I don't disagree with that! I took one peek and decided it was not for me.

There is a political section on a Prius message board and it is well modded, as is the entire board, and you cannot use any term that is derogatory to either side or you get a warning and then a time out. Granted it is much smaller than here, MUCH smaller since it is one little section of the whole board, but still, it keeps things pretty civil and makes people speak to the issue rather than simply insult others.

I think that's the only way to have uninterrupted quality discussion on the internet. You just can't leave it up to juries, that is arbitrary and jurors are too often allowing their political stance decide rather than the merits of the alerted post.

And yes, admins can tell if it's the same person on each board. There are ways to hide it but there would most likely be a slip up sometime that would allow admins to see the necessary info.
