be aware that the cathedral is closed until fall for renovations. But the Richard III museum is worth a visit, you can see the exact spot where they found his body.

If you’re in the north then Chester is a nice place to visit. They have a Gothic cathedral too, plus a Roman wall which still surrounds the city.
