City handed them their asses, and I don't think a healthy RVP would have made the slightest difference (given how much time the ball spent in ManU's half of the field). This is a very ordinary ManU team, and I can't see them being a threat to the Bayerns and Barcas of this world right now. City (and possibly Arsenal) seem much more likely to do the EPL proud in the CL this year.
