Going to urgent care or the ER is the only way you’ll get a test on the weekend.

If you’re having minor symptoms (burning, cloudy urine, frequency) a place like MedExpress would work. I know they can do simple testing. Don’t know if they can run a culture or not. They may send you to a a place like LabCorp for a culture if they need it since it takes a couple of days to get those results.

If you have kidney pain, blood in the urine, or are running a high fever, you may want to do the ER instead or the hospital’s Urgent Care. The indication I had sepsis from a UTI was I spiked a 103 temp and chills that wouldn’t stop. They kept me in the hospital on IV antibiotics for a few days.

Not sure if you live near me or not, but if do and you ever need to go to an ER, Christiana Care ER in Middletown is much faster at patient intake than at CC ER in Newark.

I get them frequently and am currently on a strong antibiotic for one. Best of luck! I’m going to see if they’ll issue a standing order for me since I can tell when they’re coming on.
