I'm no medical expert, but it's my understanding that if it hasn't metastasized to a distant organ (and/or hasn't invaded lymph nodes), and isn't an aggressive type, once you're in remission you have a VERY good prognosis!
Yes, the surgery, chemo, and radiation are awful. They also leave you immune-compromised. Take good care of yourself, stay very well hydrated, and stay as active as you possibly can!
