EV's Made in California to compete with Tesla

1. Just because they're EVs and made in the U.S. is not enough:

Consumer Reports shows this info in the current (April '25) issue

Lucid Air Overall Score 50 and 1 above the Polestar compared to BMW i4 EV at 89 and almost twice as much. Reliability much worse than average.

Rivian R1T couldn't beat a CyberCluck (55 vs 58)

Rivian R1S got a 42 and R1T got a 55.

Both Rivians and the Lucid for 2023 are in the "Best to Avoid" list.

Rivian beat out only Jeep for best brand but lower than every other manufacturer (31 total) so it was 29th out of 31. Lucid not listed probably because not enough survey answers to rate it properly.

On the other hand, Lucid had the third best when considering battery distance and DC fast charge ability. Third best in the DC Fast Charging. Well, it isn't all bad news.
