3. Not a really smooth transition

As expected, I lost access to a fair number of 32-bit apps. And had to have some hand-to-hand combat with new versions of some others (e.g. the app to that controls my Fujitsu Scansnap). But mostly my apps are doing ok. I don't really like the new UI for the Mail app (in particular choosing how things are sorted is now awful).

But the thing that drives me to distraction? I have always enabled screen "zoom" as control+scroll (it's enabled in System Prefs / Accessability / Zoom).

And yes, it still works, except that now it has to be:

Control down, *THEN* scroll.

And it ignores me if I'm scrolling and THEN do Control-down. Minor nit I suppose, but getting my fingers retrained is taking a while.

And bye bye to Adobe software. Our old versions were 32-bit and we'll never switch to a subscription model.
