The booze dealers need to check ID against a Don't Drink list (I object to the phrase Black List). I've felt this solution is needed for Drunk Driving, drunk slobs in public and so on. I'd really like lots of criminal offences to have a 'suspension of legal drinking' privileges. A little more work for the booze sellers and servers but it should eventually lower their own liability insurance. The industry won't be happy as they require alcoholics to maintain their business model. All their advertising uses subliminal messaging to develop or encourage dependence. I am ever thankful for the classes I had to sit through in college as penance for my one substance involved academic incident. 1987 they had a great presentation on how booze and tobacco are both targeted towards the dependents and to cultivate new abusers. I never liked how they only take the driving privileges away rather than the drinking part, which might better punish alcoholics.
