1. In my state you have to have a photo ID, which would have posed a problem for me, since I no longer have a valid DL.

I still need to get one, but delayed due to needing cataract surgery (now done), and the fact that I need to take the written and driving test.

Then, out of the blue, the state sent me a voter ID card. It’s a credit card sized piece of white cardboard, and is perfectly valid — despite no photo. Photo ID is all important. Unless it’s not.
