NV-SD18: Dems silent on state Senate race while Republican candidate scores donations, endorsements [View all]

The Nevada State Democratic Caucus has seemingly abandoned the race for Senate District 18.

Clark County Fire Department Chief John Steinbeck, the Republican candidate, will face off against Democrat Ronald Bilodeau, an adjunct professor at CSN who works in telecommunications, for the open seat in the general election.

Steinbeck was endorsed by Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo months ahead of his primary election.

Bilodeau told Nevada Current in an email he hasn’t had any conversations with the Nevada Senate Democratic Caucus since his primary win in June.

Campaign finance reports filed in July show Steinbeck has raised $270,000. Bilodeau has reported zero.
