How long was the line for early voting in Fishers on Saturday?

Long enough that a woman had read several chapters from a book on theology and had time to ponder its greater meaning.

Long enough that another woman — with the help of someone holding her place — had time to run to a pizza shop, order a pie, eat three-quarters of it, regret doing so and share the rest with fellow citizens.

Long enough that a girl who entered the line with her family at age 13 heard strangers sing her a chorus of “Happy Birthday” as they all waited to take part in democracy.
