I am disappointed, angry and saddened that CU Boulder had a massive "party" Saturday evening on University Hill that turned into a riot and had to be controlled by the police. Three SWAT police were injured and their armored vehicle and firetruck sustained damage. The University says any students who were violent will be excluded from campus. Though the University has sometimes been called a "party" school it has been very quiet and mostly had virtual classes this year due to the covid virus. It was a shock to all of us and our businesses who have worked so hard to keep Boulder safe and followed Colorado Governor Polis and CDC guidelines. The ski resorts and most of the small towns have been great and we sure don't want our colleges to be violent superspreaders.
