1. I lived in Boulder from 1988 to the middle of 1990.

I was very aware of Rocky Flats. When I was in Boulder, there was a Buddhist monk who every day walked from Boulder to Rocky Flats, and just sat outside in silent protest. I only knew about it because I'd see him various times when I was driving down highway 93. His singular, lone walk was powerful.
