There is one potential upside in the numbers for McSally.

The HighGround poll indicated 20% of those polled blame China for the new coronavirus, with another 25% unsure who to blame.

Translation: Expect to see lots of campaign ads in coming days, portraying Kelly — a naval aviator who flew combat missions during the Gulf War and later commanded the space shuttle — as a commie.



After his retirement from NASA, Kelly co-founded World View, a Tucson-based space balloon company that received some of its funding from a Chinese technology company.

Its a desperate move that will fail.

HighGround poll shows McSally trailing in every age group other than 50-64. An astounding 71% of independents favor Kelly.
