I just need to decide on a feel. There's always a phrase somewhere that is a tempo key. Just hear that phrase at the right pace & the rest will click.
Recording myself never bothers me.
They did a TV show dedicated to our club show. There were 4 cameras there the whole night, and I played to the cameras.
Hearing & seeing myself is a non-issue for me. I'm a ham.
