8. For More Than 30 Years

The last band I was in lasted 20 years with the same four of us on-stage, same sound & light guys. We played over 1,600 gigs together. An average of just over 80 per year for 20 years.
The band before that played nearly 130 gigs a year for almost 3 years. We had a full crew, so we just showed up to play. No moving gear. And, we had an opening act about 80% of the time, so we just played a couple 80 minute set over 3 hours. That band, while very lucrative, got derailed by too much cocaine & some guys without enough will power. We went down in flames at the end.
In those last 2 bands I was 80-85% keyboards & 15-20% guitar. I'm pretty darned good at both.
I never toured or anything. Music was a lucrative hobby, but not more than that.
Here's a quick sample of stuff I messed around with a few years back. I'm playing & singing everything on these.
