2. His Health Isn't Good

but he has a healthy outlook on his life. Not that he hasn't gone through all of the stages of grief dealing with this disease. He passed through a self medicating stage after his diagnosis and has readily admitted he was in a dark place. But once he accepted his fate so to speak and took stock of what he had, I think he found peace and was able to move forward with his life.

Hearing him interviewed over the years, he is very accepting of his fate and truly thankful for what he has. I don't think he wants people to feel sorry for him.
