Kendall Jenner's new tequila may have ripped off a Texas-based brand [View all]

Kendall Jenner is releasing her own tequila brand, but the rollout has definitely been on the rocks.

First, there were accusations of cultural appropriation. Now, an Austin-based tequila brand is saying Jenner's branding looks a little too familiar.

Jenner's brand 818 just launched in California. But Tequila 512 is pointing out some distinct similarities between the two brands.

Both brands use area codes for their names (818 is an area code in Los Angeles, while 512 is Austin's main area code). Both have yellow labels, both are offering the same three kinds of tequila, and both even make their tequila at the same Mexican distillery.
