2. It does have that abandoned look about it

What appears to be flotsam on the water in the foreground wouldn’t be there if there was human activity, so it serves to show how Nature starts taking over when it gets the chance. There is a quiet stillness even though the water is somewhat actively moving.

You’ve caught a lot in the water so most of the attention, the emphasis, is on it. Even though the ripples show the shadows and highlights of the surface of the water in movement, you’ve included the reflection, the mirroring, of the sky and clouds that you would see on a smooth surface of water. The combination of movement and stillness in the water is to great effect. I also like the way the abandoned boat’s color bleeds into the water.

You did a beautiful study of water and the way light plays on it.
