6. The last time I lost a beloved feline friend

I arranged a small service so friends could come over.

We buried him in a cradle of lavender boughs, then laid two fat colas of freshly cut Nepeta Cateria with him for the journey. Then we got drunk.

The next spring I planted a young Dogwood tree to mark his spot.

Now my friends want me to bury THEM when the time comes. 😁
