3. I'll readily agree as to the insanity, but there is most definitely a method to it.

He has systematically corrupted the Republican Party, the media, the national dialogue, the courts, Congress, just about everything at this point.

Through this, he has incrementally consolidated his power. Many of the things he does that seem like silliness or wackiness are actually loyalty tests to weed out those who won't stand behind him no matter what.

He's evil, and this time, he knows what he's doing.
