Thomas Jefferson comes to mind. When he was Governor of Virginia, he was an avid record keeper. He charted what vegetables were planted where, every boxwood bush, every flower in the garden. He charted other things that I can't remember. But the main thing he drew up was a blueprint of every square inch of the Governor's Mansion there in Williamsburg. One of the greatest hazards in those days was fire. Homes would burn to the ground as they heated their homes with fireplaces and burned candles at night. Anyway. It's a good thing he created the blueprint, as the mansion did indeed burn to the ground several times thru the years and they had Thomas Jefferson's blueprint to rebuild the original mansion!
So yeah, I betcha' they have a blueprint of the East Wing. I wager it will be rebuilt in the future.
