I am hoping Zelensky took lessons from Starmer and Macron on how to handle Trump for the best effect - praise to high heaven in public, seemingly submit in private, then ignore or work around once you have what you want from him.

It is humiliating, but Zelensky has given up more than momentary dignity for his embattled nation.
