Nor can we assume that all security measures will involve protesters. We would be remiss in thinking that there will not be many, many other agencies involved. Neither can we ignore that the lines between arrest and detention have become blurred. A round up is a round up, and anyone captured in that round up need not necessarily be subject to arrest, but that person is certainly detained. Current trends have very little regard for the difference. I certainly refuse to accept that I could be taken off the street and locked away for any period of time, with or without due cause. After that, there is no due process. Should I be sent to CECOT or some internment camp who will free me?
Again, this is nothing personal. If you feel that you should be in DC, then by all means go.
