Also, Woodrow Wilson didn't have his stroke until after WWI was over. It's also not really true that Wilson was a total vegetable afterward. In fact Edith wanted him to compromise with Republicans in the Senate to get the Treaty of Versailles ratified, but he wouldn't do it. If she was totally running things, the treaty likely would've been.
