Because if We the People were to actually, ya know, know what Democrats are about, they would vote for Democrats. That is what all the disinformation is for. So, we can't have that now, can we? Besides, lookit all that's spent on TV and radio advertising every two years -- and all the fundraising to buy same.
In England, instead of using all their time to raise money, the House o' Commonfolk representatives have to actually meet with their constituents. What a mess. They're called "surgeries."
