(48,972 posts)4. Interesting to see what abandoned shopping malls are converted to
in some places they have been converted into apartments, megachurches, indoor sports like pickleball, escape rooms, and so on. In some areas they might do well to become parks or green recreational areas if there's nothing else around.

Personally, I think the rise of online shopping had a great deal to do with the demise of malls.

in southern California, dead malls are rebuilt as malls... with apartments complexes attached.
