(3,717 posts)46. I've started doing therapeutic journaling to deal with some mental and emotional issues that I'm having
Every night before bed I sit with pen and journal in hand and write answers to an open ended question: why am I feeling this anxiety?, for example. The words pour out; no editing, no stopping to reflect on the next line, just let it come out. Then I end with either a written or silent expression of gratitude for what I do have thats good in my life. Its only been a few days since I started but I feel its having a positive effect. Try it; what do you have to lose?
