The Way Forward
Related: About this forumHave you ever wondered....How Closely Have the First 100 Days of Trump's 2025 Presidency Aligned with Project 2025?
Short answer: Very closely. What were seeing is not improvisation. Its a coordinated execution of a pre-written blueprint.- Dismantle the administrative state
- Reassert presidential control over the executive branch
- Purge civil servants
- Militarize federal responses to dissent
- Weaken LGBTQ+ rights, environmental protections, and democratic safeguards
Key First 100-Day Actions That Match the Plan
Schedule F reactivated; mass terminations and loyalty vetting underway
- Re-centralize executive power
Dozens of agency heads now report directly to a Trump-appointed oversight layer
- Use DOJ as a weapon
Ongoing prosecutions of political enemies; shielding of allies
- Roll back LGBTQ+ military rights
Transgender military ban reinstated; discharge proceedings accelerated
- Control education content
Federal funding threats for states using CRT, LGBTQ+ content, or rejecting patriot curriculum
- Clamp down on media and dissent
DOJ surveillance of journalists; FCC reviews of media licenses announced
- Favor fossil fuels over climate science
EPA gutted, clean energy funds frozen, and climate hoax language normalized in briefings
Whats Likely Next? Red Flag Forecast
- DOJ reshuffling to insert loyal prosecutors and judges
- Executive Orders redefining domestic extremism
- IRS or DHS actions targeting liberal nonprofits
- Expanded military discharge of LGBTQ+ service members
- Redefining citizenship tied to ending birthright citizenship
- Homeland Security retooling to include ideological enforcement units
- Rollout of a Federal school compliance board
- Restrictions on vote-by-mail under election integrity branding
- Emergency declarations bypassing Congress
- Use of the National Guard in Democratic strongholds
- AI-powered surveillance initiatives fast-tracked
- Trial balloons to means-test Social Security/Medicare
- DOJ begins blocking lawsuits from blue states
Do They Flip a Coin?
This is not governanceits a consolidation of power, using:
- A roadmap (Project 2025)
- Enforcers, not administrators
- Chaos as camouflage

(7,522 posts)As my time grows shorter and shorter. I continue to try to finish three Life Projects in no particular order.
Have you ever wondered what the history of land on a lake was like before it became a YMCA camp for kids?
I did, and I labored to find answers.
The letters were all from relatives in England living in and around London.
Written to William Black ["Dear Bill"] will be the title of the finished project.
Have you ever wondered exactly where those old addresses in London were?
I did, and I labored to find answers.
We have a copy of the original daily log of the multi-year voyage.
The day-by-day LAT LONs of their location.
Have you ever wondered what the point-by-point daily log would show of their exact location on a map?
I did, and I labored to find answers.
Google and other search engines were of little or no help, and I spent hours refining the search terms with little or no helpful results.
Then, along came AI, not (A1)..... DUers should get the distinction. Recently, I decided to see what AI "knew" about the world today.
So here we are, the above post was generated with the help of the exact same tool that helped in the development of Project 2025

(7,522 posts)... to bring DU folks what AI has to say about politics in 2025 and through the days ahead until we have regained our control of the House in 2026 and beyond.
For non-AI users, let me suggest that I'll "ask" AI a question or two for fellow DU users.
So far, I have not found a topic that AI has failed to answer, many of which have been beyond my belief.
For example, electrical problems are among the most challenging car problems to solve. I recently had a problem with my 2003 truck's directionals not working. I took it to my garage, which has been servicing all of our cars without fail over the years.
They called me the next day and asked me if I had done anything with the car's electrical circuits, like fooling with trailer lights or switching to a new Bluetooth radio to work hands-free with our phones. The answer was no and no... nothing.
So I thought, "What the hell, let's ask AI what it thought," given the symptoms I was experiencing. I posed the question, and 30 seconds or less later, AI generated a list of possible issues with a troubleshooting guide to diagnose and eliminate each one step by step.
I emailed the mechanics the troubleshooting list, and they called back less than an hour later and said, "Your car is ready, and where in hell did you find the troubleshooting list?" I told the AI, and they said, "A what!"
One more: I have been researching my dad's military records from WW II. He had told me that he was stationed in 1943-44 in a jungle radio station "20 some miles up the Amazon river," intercepting German U-boat radio communicationsyears of digging through military records with no luck. With the same description ("20-some miles up the Amazon river" , AI found the answer immediately. With lots of additional information that matched up to the records I got from military records years before.
More later!
