Let's talk about Trump hinting the Iran regime may stay in power and the CIA making moves.... - Belle of the Ranch

Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Trump hinting the regime may stay in power and the CIA making moves.

Before we get started, down below will be a link for the fundraising effort to benefit Project Rebound at California State University Northridge. It's a program that has produced incredibly great results over the years and we've been supporting them for a while. Check it out and help formerly incarcerated people move forward.

Okay. in a completely predictable chain of events Trump seems to be starting to understand that Iran is more complicated than he thought and that regime change is like super hard. Especially when you're working with concepts of a plan and seem to have spent more time workshopping how to convince Americans to support it than you did figuring out how to win it.

We'll just dive right into his comments. He was asked about the worst case and said, “I guess the worst case would be we do this and then somebody takes over who's as bad as the previous person, right? That could happen. We don't want that to happen. It would probably be the worst. You go through this and then in five years you realize you put somebody in who was no better.”

I mean, yeah, that's a real possibility, especially with an entrenched government with divided responsibilities and autonomous structures. All of which should have been in the briefing that occurred before this was undertaken.

He was asked about who he wanted to be in power and said, "Most of the people we had in mind are dead. Now we have another group. They may be dead also based on reports. So you have a third wave coming. Pretty soon we're not going to know anybody.”

This is why when you're trying to realign a country, you're supposed to avoid hitting those people who are politically savvy or easily corruptible. Why didn't he talk to Bolton?

He then decided to basically dash the hopes of the exiled Crown Prince of Iran's last shah and sort of indicated he's not in the running. Then he said the sentence that is going to scramble all the talking points of politicians and commentators. "It would seem to me that somebody from within maybe would be more appropriate."

He's talking about somebody from within the current regime coming to power. So much for all the concern trolling about the well-being of people of Iran. It wasn't actually a goal. Trump might be trying to find his way out of this mess and honestly, I hope he does. I hope he just declares victory, says we degraded their capabilities, and walks away before this continues to spiral and we see more serious combat.

At the same time, we're seeing reports surfacing that the CIA is trying to arm the Kurds and maybe other ethnic groups in the country. like maybe some Azeris. It's incredibly unlikely that the Kurds could make a real move in Tehran, which is predominantly Persian. So, the idea that central intelligence plans on using them to oust the central government seems unlikely.

It looks like the US intelligence community might have decided that Trump's war wasn't going to achieve the results he wanted so rather than let the country stand, they might be trying to Balkanize it and create discontent that would rip the country apart. That situation almost always carries a high human cost and is typically a lengthy process. I'm sure there will be more development soon.

Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
