For the first time in modern Texas history, one party is running a candidate in every single state and federal race on the 2026 ballot — and that party is the Texas Democratic Party.

That means every congressional seat, every Texas House seat, every Texas Senate seat, statewide offices, judicial races, and even the State Board of Education will be contested. No uncontested races. No automatic wins. No free rides. Ring of Fire’s Jerrod Zisser breaks this down.

2. I live in very blue Massachusetts in a very blue town just West of Boston

Most of the local congressional races and State government races have only a Democratic candidate on the ballot. Even if I don’t vote, I know the Democrats will win. I vote anyway, of course.

Hopefully the Repugnants will continue to not run candidates is Democratic strongholds like Massachusetts.
