Denmark hits back after Trump suggests again that US should control Greenland - Associated Press

Donald Trump reopened old wounds over Greenland on the eve of the meeting by insisting that the United States should control the semiautonomous island.

Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on Wednesday rejected Trump’s renewed demands that the U.S. should take control of Greenland from NATO ally Denmark, saying that “Greenland is of course not for sale.” - 07/08/2026.

Perhaps Denmark might create a shared responsibility (of sorts) with Canada, wherein Greenland remains an autonomous territory, but is newly aided by both Denmark and (now) Canada. After all, Canada is the nearest large landmass nearby to Greenland.

Monies need not be exchanged, simply an 'agreement' of mutual services.

... Russia can't protect itself! Ukrainian military strategists are pounding the livin' shit out of Russia whenever they feel like it.

... but since the Orange Gargoyle never fails to mention Russia in his lame-ass justifications for bullying a NATO ally, I thought it might be worth mentioning that Putin's playground doesn't pose much of a threat after the relentless pounding they've taken lately, at least in a ground conflict. Tactical nukes are another story. That gets scary. I wouldn't put anything past Putin at this stage; he's insane.

If you want to know why Krasnov wants Greenland, click on the podcast.

Also Malcolm stated that crude oil should be closer to $130/barrel, he does exaggerate at times to make a point, but crude oil strategic inventories are at 1980's levels.

Saudi Arabia is trying to corner the market by dropping its price for crude and if the price of crude gets too low then US frackers can't make money pulling oil from the ground.

Malcolm also did a segment on Hormuz claiming that Iran has plenty of swift boats to disrupt the passage of ships through Hormuz. Malcolm also stated that the ships that are going through Hormuz are the ones who have paid fees, the US escorted 3 ships through Hormuz.

I learned more in 1 hour from listening to Malcolm yesterday than I learned from a month of cable news.

BTW, did you know that Malcolm Nance joined DU? It's been quite awhile since he posted, but his first reply was to something I posted (likely one of his podcasts) and at first I wasn't sure it was really him, but his subsequent posts convinced me.

I have been posting them lately. There are so many on my list that it's hard to keep up and I hope other DUers will take to posting a few each day because I can't do this forever. I'm trying to take up the slack, for now, since TexasTowelie passed away. He used to post a lot of videos every day, it would be nice to split up the volume of news so that one person doesn't spend all day posting videos. Not complaining but letting you, and others, that I can't keep this up forever .

Today's video isn't uploaded yet.
