Cool Hand Luke Boxing Scene

The thing that always stuck with me about this scene was the emotional transition in particular by one prisoner as he almost instantaneously grows past his lizard brain, and gets in touch with his humanity beginning at about the 50 second mark.

This was maybe 15 years ago. I'm visiting my brother in Boise, Idaho. It's summertime. It's hot. I go to Dairy Queen, like any normal real american would do! A few people in front of me, so I'm standing in line. As we inch forward, I hear the tall burly man in front of me order a blizzard. "That voice sounds familiar," I think. His blizzard is placed on the counter in front of him, he puts a straw in it, lifts it to his mouth and turns around while he takes his first sip. Yes, it was George Kennedy!
