Kimura in Training: POV video shows just how fast and powerful her kicks are

Skip to the 3:55 mark for the POV footage. Basically, if you're squared off with Kimura and you blink, you're going to be knocked out.

I'm sure she could severely mess up someone untrained in martial arts, but I have seen far faster and more powerful kicks than that, many times.

Personally, I think she's amazing, but two things should temper my own evaluation: (1) She's young (just 24 years old) and still in the early stage of her career as a kickboxer. She's showing a lot of promise, but time will tell if she becomes a great kickboxer or simply remains a very good one; and (2) She's very attractive (yeah, I said it), and the novelty of a kawaii kickboxer no doubt makes me more of a fan than I'd be otherwise.

All that said, it should be noted that Kimura has, in fact, "messed up" (your words) two people very well trained in martial arts. In her professional kickboxing debut against Ai Ogiwara last year, she won the fight by a first round knockout (delivered by her fist, not her foot). Then, early this year, she defeated Yuka☆ by unanimous decision. That's the fight in the video I posted earlier, where her opponent simply couldn't overcome Kimura's kicks.
