8. I saw my regular 2 cardinals, they have been around ever since I've moved here, many years. It's amazing how loyal

they are and how local they remain in the same area. I talk to them by clucking at them, sometimes they act like they hear me, but I don't know. I'd feed them, but I would then get pigeons, which I don't want (flying rats is another name for them).

The competition was fierce two weeks ago. Now that nesting has begun, there's peace in the backyard. I've not tried to call cardinals, but can attract chickadees and titmice with "pishing" sounds.

just visit for a little while, and then go down the back alley to other back yards, I guess scoping out the neighborhood for goodies to eat.
