Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani becomes first MLB hitter to reach 20 home runs in 2025, on pace for nearly 60

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar DH and starting-pitcher-in-waiting Shohei Ohtani on Tuesday became the first slugger in Major League Baseball to reach 20 home runs in 2025.

Here's a look at No. 20, which came off Tanner Bibee of the Cleveland Guardians:

Ohtani is just unstoppable, I don't even know why opposing teams pitch to him.

They don't want to pitch to him, but they also don't want to put him on base. He's such a good base stealer Walleye Wednesday #1

Yep, he's a total package. Just reading about him his nickname is Showtime. I love it. Walleye Wednesday #3

either pitch to him and risk a home run or put him on base and risk a steal and a run, 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other.

Judge is currently batting .395 with an astounding and catchy 1.234 OPS!

Sounds like Ohtani will not take the mound until at least after the all-star break.

Single-runs home runs before the 9'th are overrated IMO. Hits are what wins a game. The more, the better!
