Related: About this forumMy review of Dubai Chocolate Bar
It's milk chocolate with pistachio cream.
Apparently, DC is a "thing" right now and a lot of customers are buying it.
It costs anywhere between $14.99 and $20 depending on the store.
The bar is a bit larger than most chocolate bars. Divided into four wedges. Wrapped in gold like a gold bar.
Soooooo, it's OK. That's it. It's a mild taste, but so much that you really can't taste either the chocolate and/or the pistachio. I've had more peak experiences with Ghiradelli, Lindt, even Original Salzburger Mozartkugel.
Don't get me wrong. It's better than a Hershey Bar. But not for $15. I could even understand you trying to convince yourself it's the best chocolate you ever tasted (b/c you paid $15 and don't want buyer's remorse).
I only got to find out b/c a customer bought one at my station, and she took one wedge and gave me the other three. Naturally, I refused, but she insisted that I take it. I broke off two wedges and gave them to two coworkers and kept the last one b/c yes, I was curious.

(15,133 posts)I laughed at her and told her that she fell victim to the influencers! But we both tried it, and we're not very impressed. I think the milk chocolate is way too sweet for the filling, it would be better with a dark bittery chocolate. And honestly we had to split one of those little quarters in half for each of us because it was too much! I still have the rest of it in my refrigerator and I doubt if I'll actually eat it....

(20,700 posts)She described the steps of the recipe, which sound like a lot of trouble. Chocolate and pistachio doesn't appeal to me. If she makes it, hope she likes it .
