My friend made me a pasta dish using orechiette. It had broccoli rabe, parmesan, and ground lamb. He's a pretty good cook. The RG taught him.
Along with it, a tossed green salad. It had the usual fresh summer veggies from my garden, like cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, green pepper slices, and scallions. Caesar dressing and wonton strips for crunchiness.
Kombucha: ginger.
For dessert, dark chocolate and quinoa crisps. A half coffee/half milk.

(37,030 posts)Tandoori chicken, dal mahkni, basmati rice and onion kulcha. Medium spice and the best mango chutney I've found -- Geeta's.

(40,254 posts)I hope they carry Geeta's in the NY area.
I have this cauliflower pie I make in the fall. It's a Mollie recipe. I've been making it for years. It is so good with mango chutney.

I drink it 'cuz it tastes good. I used to buy it but now I have learned to brew my own and it's easy. It wasn't easy at first, though.
I'm glad I learned how to brew my own because kombucha prices have risen, just like almost all other grocery items. I noticed GT's kombucha was $4.69 at Whole Foods today--GTs 13.5 oz bottle. I definitely go through at least one 13.5 oz bottle a day.
It does have health benefits. I belong to a kombucha forum and every now and then someone will post about a benefit they feel they have received from drinking kombucha. The most recent one was someone who thought it helped with mood elevation.
