Ukraine Just Brought the War to Putin - Jason Jay Smart
Ukraine just brought the war to Putin, and Moscow is no longer the safe rear area Putin promised himself. A Russian military officer tied to missiles, artillery shells, and army logistics was killed near Moscow, close to where another senior Russian officer was hit before, forcing Putins commanders to face a question the Kremlin cannot control: if the men running the war are exposed near the capital, what part of Russia is still protected?
The pressure is now spreading through the whole Russian war machine. Air defense is being pulled back toward Moscow, commanders are being forced to think about their own survival, fuel routes are under threat, oil refineries keep getting hit, and the industries funding Putins invasion are running out of money just as the Russian military demands more shells, more fuel, more officers, and more cash.
That is the real consequence of Ukraine bringing the war home to Russia. Putin now has to defend Moscow, protect his commanders, fund the front, rescue failing industries, and explain why the rear is no longer safe. The war he launched to break Ukraine is now forcing Russia to spend itself, expose itself, and protect itself inside its own territory.
