No way home? Russians POWs sent back to the front - Break the Fake - TVP WORLD

Prisoner exchanges are commonly viewed as a path back to freedom – a return home, medical care, and recovery after months or years in captivity.

However, recent testimony from Russian civil activists and direct conversations with returning prisoners suggest a very different reality for many Russian POWs.

According to members of civic groups involved in locating and assisting Russian servicemen, a significant number of prisoners released during recent exchanges are not allowed to return to civilian life.

Instead, they are sent directly back to active combat units, often within hours or days of crossing the border.
