Read it and weep. Along with this story, Waterford, Ohio property is being considered for a datacenter. Lots of opposition. Washington County commissioners actually signed NDAs and are keeping details from the public. All crooked r's, no surprise there.

(30,117 posts)The river caught on fire near Cleveland, because of industrial waste. But of course, everyone knows that water naturally burns so I guess we don't need to worry.

(93 posts)...have been paying for water that they can't even drink or cook with since December 2025 because it tastes & smells so bad.
Public water services were outsourced to private evil corp AQUA, who gets their water from the fricking RIVER, and who now claims there is nothing wrong with water, "just geosmin" "trust us," "okay to drink." Hello no!
None of my grandparent's friends/ neighbors trust what AQUA is claiming - that the terrible tasting water is "harmless." On top of it, AQUA is refusing to refund or credit anyone in the affected area for all the flushing out of residential lines that they were told to do.
Now AQUA is going to pull even more contaminated water out of the river that supplies Marion, Ohio if this bill goes through.
Holy shit people in Ohio, wake up!
