John Ewing (D) ousts Jean Stothert (R) in Omaha mayoral election

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert lost her bid for a fourth term Tuesday.

Stothert conceded to Douglas County Treasurer John Ewing, KMTV reported.

As of 9:45 p.m., Ewing, a Democrat, led the incumbent Republican 55% to 45% in the officially nonpartisan race.

Ewing will become the first Black elected mayor of Omaha.

Stother has been in the mayor’s office since 2013.

How did you do it? Was there a lot of money spent on this election? Were there tv ads?

Omaha and Lincoln are where we find a Costco whenever we travel through which is usually once a year. I really like Nebraska. So many of the little towns have parks with RV hookups for just a few bucks. We've stayed in some lovely places.
