ELECTION 2025: Two seats contested in Starmont School Board election
Starmont Community School District School Board will have four on the ballot in two weeks as both incumbents have challengers and will see two public measures.
The at-large positions held by incumbents Jacob Moellers and Victoria Althoff are being challenged by runners Nathan Meyers and Cheryl Northrop. The board consists of five members who are elected every four years.
Also on the ballot this November, the Starmont School District is looking to adopt a measure for a General Obligation Bond, not to exceed $9.8 million, for HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the school.
The estimated property tax impact of the bond issue would be $2.30 per $1,000 of taxable value. This would result in an approximate increase of $179.76 per year (or $14.98 per month) on a home worth $175,000 in the district.
