North Showers now hub for election services in Monroe County, voter reg deadline April 5

Starting Monday (Feb. 9), Monroe County voter registration, including all Election Central functions, started operating at a new and different location—on the second floor of the North Showers building on Morton Street.

North Showers is a two-block walk north from the former location at 7th and Madison streets in the old Johnson’s Hardware building.

The move came after last Friday’s noon deadline for candidate filings.

Tasks that people can complete at the office include: registering to vote; getting questions answered, like where their polling location is; dropping off absentee ballots in person; filing an application to receive an absentee ballot by mail; and applying for a travel board ballot.
