Caltrans installs gates on 101 Freeway ramps ahead of 'No Kings' protest

KTLA
Caltrans crews installed onramp and offramp gates on the 101 Freeway at Los Angeles Street in downtown L.A. ahead of this weekend’s “No Kings” protest.

The CHP said keeping demonstrators off the freeway is a safety issue for both marchers and motorists. Officials emphasized that the gates will only be used as needed, with officers coordinating with Caltrans before any freeway ramps are closed.

Dozens of “No Kings’ rallies are scheduled for Saturday across Los Angeles County, including Long Beach, Burbank, Alhambra and downtown L.A.

Sigh.
