but no honey bees to be seen. Luckily others are helping out. I understand our triple digit temps of late are devastating to honey bee colonies

I like the inclusion of insects in your flower photos. I've been trying to do that more often in my floral shots, but with a phone camera am not getting the detailed resolution you have.

6. I have four lenses I use

two are macro. one is 50mm and almost a pancake lens that requires getting within an inch of the subject so the camera gets in the way of natural light, casts a shadow. these were taken with a 24mm probe lens that needs to be within an inch, but is only as big around as a dime and the camera is 12' away so no shadow is cast. the wasps did not seem to be bothered by the probe.

on the other end of the spectrum, I use a couple of telephoto zooms and one prime that have a minimum focus distance of 10'-16' for those subjects that absolutely will not allow you to get that close:

Love the dragonfly… it looks like an artist’s creation.
Thanks for the additional tips!

Mint, my nemesis! Like kryptonite!

I'm so allergic to it that I can't be within several feet of someone chewing mint gum or eating a tic tac. Brushing my teeth is an ordeal a couple times a day, burns my mouth and makes my nose run and I look like I just got wasted on pot every time.

Has really pretty blossoms, though. Nice pictures!

Forgot I mentioned it before!

I do think the plant is very pretty and like to take pictures of it myself. Fortunately, I don;t get reactions from pictures!
